You’ve lost that happy feeling (don’t worry, be happy…)

Chances are you feel like there’s a big black cloud overhead and you need help getting rid of it. If you are experiencing a challenge or a life-changing event surround yourself with happy positive people who will support and nurture you. Avoid negative influences such as watching gloomy movies and television shows. Brighten your home with colour and light. Listen to inspiring and upbeat music. Laugh even when you don’t feel like it. Look for the happy magic and you will find it. Smile at people and they will smile back. If you have been unhappy for a while or you have concerns about your mental wellbeing, then think about getting professional help (therapists, counsellors and life coaches are there for a reason). This affirmation may help: “I am calm and happy. My life is filled with love, laughter, friendship, fun and adventure…!” Believe that nothing bad lasts forever. The cloud will pass overhead and the sun will shine once again. And remember: you have control over your life. Make the changes you desire.

Fear not… happiness is on the horizon

Dude, where’s your happiness mojo? Seems like the sparkle’s gone and the glitter fairy has forgotten all about you. Well, don’t wait for her (or him) to come find you… get out there and find her. Hire a comedy DVD, go see a show, spend time with your happy friends, do cartwheels down the beach… whatever it takes to get in touch with your inner childish person again. If none of that works, remember and re-enact a time when you were blissfully happy. Pretty soon that glitter fairy’s going to be freaking out because you will have your own glitter and you won’t need her (or him). Just remember: it’s all about attitude. Be fully aware of your moods and responses so you can do the proverbial ‘turn that frown upside down’.

Keep talking that happy talk

Life’s looking ok. You have mucho happinesso in your life. Maybe you could smile a bit more but life’s ok from your end. There are areas of your life where your happiness can be increased but you’re on your way. To get to the ultimate level in inner happiness you may want to indulge in more ‘me’ time, lighten up, be grateful, be yourself, or do more things that make you happy. And smile. Don’t forget to smile.

Good news: you’re happy! Yay! You’ve got this happiness thing sussed. You live life to the max and you are happy with who you are. Things are going well for you. Things rarely get you down for long and you are quick to find the positive in the negative. You surround yourself with positive happy people and those that aren’t positive and happy have absolutely no influence over you. Wow, you are amazing! Now it’s time to spread the word. Remember: happiness is contagious. Don’t keep it all to yourself: share it!
